Branding Questionnaire

The purpose of this branding questionnaire is to give me, as your designer, a thorough overview and understanding of you and your business. Please set aside enough time to fill it out. If you’re not sure how to answer some of the questions, don’t worry. just leave them blank, and we’ll go through them together! After you complete the first version of the questionnaire, I’ll review it and, if needed, we’ll clarify any uncertainties.

Tagline or sentence that sums up what you do in one line

Is there a unique story behind your business name? Why did your business start, and where did the initial idea come from?

What are your business goals? (You don’t need to share confidential details, a general description is fine)

What are your (business) values? The core values you believe in and stand for. These guide your brand story, actions, and behavior.

Who is your ideal client/target audience who buys your products/services?

What are your client’s pain points/problems that they face in their daily life?

Why do your clients choose you over your competitors? What makes you unique?

Where do you plan to use your logo? (e.g. social media, digital design, print materials, advertising, stickers…)

What do you consider a good example of a brand? What do you like about their logo and visuals? (It doesn’t have to be from your industry or competitors — it can even be better if it’s from another field!)

What keywords would you use to describe the essence of your brand?

Is there an icon, image, symbol, or picture that resonates with you and that you WOULD like to see in your brand identity?

Is there an icon, image, symbol, or picture that you dislike and that you would NOT want in your brand identity?

Is there a color that resonates with you and that you WOULD like to see in your brand identity?
